When I first started The Style Ref back in the early 2010s, if you wanted to buy something to wear to support your favorite sports team, there werenât a whole lot of great options, especially for women. It was all pretty basic, unisex sizing or worse â pink (yes, completely pink regardless of team colors). As a sports fan myself, who also happens to love all things fashion and style, this unnerved me and I started writing about it because I knew I couldnât be the only one feeling that way. I focused on uncovering the best gear and brands for the sports fans who get it and care about the aesthetic, too while also spotlighting sports trendsetters, from celebrities to coaches to teams with cool uniforms.
One of the first sports licensed fan apparel brands for women was TOUCH by Alyssa Milano (actress and sports fan), which I covered on my blog, and I was mind blown when Alyssa herself actually tweeted me about it! I still have one of her shirts in my closet and just wore it recently. Alyssa is a trailblazer in this space and though I havenât come across her brand in a while, itâs nice to see itâs still available (check out Amazon and Fanatics).

The concept of âfashion for sports fansâ was just beginning to take shape back then when I started writing about it and Alyssa launched her brand, so itâs gratifying to see how much the space has evolved since with so much room to grow. Today, it feels like there are new brands popping up constantly, seizing on an expanding business opportunity to provide fans â particularly women â with more ways to represent their team in style.
We know celebrities are sports fans like us and some are following in Alyssaâs footsteps with their own spin on sports team apparel. In some cases, theyâre not just the face of the brand; theyâre actively involved in product development and design, too. Theyâre bringing fresh and fashion-forward takes on sports team apparel and giving fans something different than the same old selection from established, mass retailer brands. More options? Thatâs definitely something to cheer about.
Life is moving fast these days, so itâs hard to keep up with whatâs new and noteworthy. Here are celeb-backed sports fashion brands I think you should know about!
WEAR by Erin Andrews

Longtime NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews founded her brand WEAR by Erin Andrews to offer trendy, everyday womenâs fashion across multiple major sports leagues. Youâll find a wide variety of casual, vintage-inspired styles that are perfect for game day and frequently worn by celebrity fans cheering from the sidelines. Iâm a big fan of the cold weather options like the jackets, sweaters and windbreakers.
Off Season

This is the definition of a social media success story. Kristin Juszczyk, fashion designer and wife of NFL star Kyle Juszczyk, created custom game day pieces for Taylor Swift and Caitlin Clark, which went viral and led to the launch of her brand, Off Season. She frequently shares the behind-the-scenes of creating her line on social media and her hands-on, experimental design approach really differentiates the brand. Her pieces are modern, fashion-forward and made for fans who want to stand out in the crowd.
Woods by Jordyn
Jordyn Woods originally landed on the scene due to her Kardashian family connections, but more recently, she made headlines on the sidelines supporting her now-husband and New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns during the 2026 NBA Playoffs. Her lucky charm throughout the Knicksâ run was a custom bright orange mini clutch bag made of faux ostrich leather that she carried to games, which went viral for superstitious Knicks fans hoping for a historic championship win. Their dream came true and due to popular demand, Jordyn launched her lucky bag (officially called the Tux Clutch Mini) for sale through her brand Woods by Jordyn in both orange and blue in honor of the Knicks. Something tells me this may just be the start for Jordyn in the world of sports fan fashion.
Darius Rucker Collection by Fanatics

This oneâs for the guys because they deserve to look good on game day, too. Darius Rucker, former lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish and country music star, launched his own clothing collection for MLB and NFL fans. His line is vintage, classic Americana with casual, laid-back essentials (that are great for layering) rather than standard sports jerseys.
Terez

This New York City-based brand recently made its official runway debut at New York Fashion Week. Founded by Zara Terez Tisch (of the Tisch family, co-owners of the New York Giants), this brand brings high-fashion streetwear to the stands. The result is a collection of bold, eye-catching styles for NFL, NBA and MLB fans theyâd want to wear out even if itâs not game day. Unsurprisingly, thereâs a big selection for fans of New York teams and as a Giants fan whoâs noticed a serious lack of options at times (underrepresented teams are a thing!), Iâm happy they get some love here.
Are there other sports fashion brands that have caught your eye recently? Iâd love to hear about them! Leave a comment and let me know.
Until next timeâŚXO,
Kathy
